Endorfy Fluctus 120 PWM Fan Review

Epilogue

[Update]: You can find the product at a much lower price than Amazon.com on Newegg.

The Endorfy Fluctus 120 PWM is an interesting product with a very good price in the EU market. Unfortunately, its price is increased in the US market (Amazon.com), and the brand has to find a way to drop it to the EU market’s levels. The fan’s design is focused on providing increased airflow, so it is more suitable for chassis use and not so much for cooling solutions.

Let’s look now at 25 dBA noise normalized performance. I chose 25 dBA because it is low enough not to annoy most users, while it is high enough to allow for speeds that offer decent performance in airflow and static pressure.

The fans that perform better than the Fluctus 120mm in airflow cost notably more, and only the Lian Li Uni Fan TL manages to create a large enough performance distance. On the other hand, the static pressure performance is low, achieving third place from the bottom. If you don’t want to spend much and need a more balanced performance between airflow and static pressure, the Arctic P12 Max is the ideal choice. It is more expensive than the Fluctus in the EU market but notably less expensive in the US market (on Amazon.com). Totally crazy!

For reference, at the time of the review, the following prices applied in the US market (Amazon):

  • Arctic P12 Max: $13
  • be quiet! Silent Wings 4 120mm High-Speed: $20
  • Endorfy Fluctus 120 PWM: $19.6
  • Phanteks T30-120: $35
  • Thermaltake Toughfan Pro 12: $25
  • Scythe Grand Tornado 120mm: $20
  • XPG Vento Pro 120mm: $27.5

The Arctic P12 Max remains the top choice in the US market, although its price has slightly increased from the last time I checked it.

Below, you will find several 120mm fan reviews to get more insights about this product category.

Pros:
  • Low price in the EU market
  • High normalized-noise airflow performance
  • Good build quality
  • Silent operation
  • Fluid dynamic bearing
  • PWM control
  • Daisy-chain option
  • Rubber corners for minimized vibrations
Cons:
  • Notably more expensive in the US market (Amazon.com)
  • Low static pressure
  • Increased power consumption in the normalized noise tests
