Epilogue
The Corsair iCUE Link is a big step forward in removing all excess cables for power and RGB lighting. Modern systems use many fans, which make cable management a challenging process. With the iCUE Link, you don’t have to worry about the amount of cables, but the prices of the corresponding components are far from affordable, especially for the AIO solutions and the fans. Moreover, the cables are not affordable, so you must carefully check what you need to build your system before purchasing them.
The idea is brilliant, and the fact that all components connect and pass data from each other to the hub and, consequently, to the system is a significant advantage. The temperature sensors on the fans are an excellent addition, which I plan on fully exploiting in my reviews. More sensors and more data are always welcome for enthusiast users and reviewers. The lack of cables going to the cooling block is another excellent feature, helping increase airflow in this area and creating a much nicer visual effect. In general, the fewer cables, the less hassle for users. If only the iCUE Link components had lower prices, hopefully, this will change once more players try to follow Corsair’s example. More and more brands have daisy-chan fans; it’s time to have daisy-chain cooling parts!
