Arctic P14 PWM PST CO Review – The budget friendly 140mm fan!

At the 10% speed, don’t pay attention to the 50 Hz frequency. This was slightly increased because of a 1:1 transformer I had in operation outside the chamber. I just left that and didn’t take a new chart to show you how easy it is to have alterations in readings at such low noise output.

At 25-50% speeds, the dominant frequency is at 400Hz, while at 75% speed, it moves a bit lower, at 315Hz. At full speed, the loudest noise is within the 250Hz – 3.5KHz region.

Signal Recordings

I have recorded the signals shown above, but please keep in mind that I’ve enabled Automatic Gain Control (AGC) to do so to make it easier for you to reproduce them. The provided recordings are only offered for aural identification purposes.

  1. The noise info is incorrect for this fan, i almost 20y i have never seen an arctic (case) fan that’s ~10dbA.
its either 19 and up, or, if you go without PWM/CO, the silent (DC) ones do 8dbA (0.08 sone).
