The Arctic P14 PWM PST CO is an affordable 140mm fan, equipped with double ball bearings which won’t have a problem operating at harh conditions, for prolonged periods. According to Arctic, this fan is optimized for static pressure, so it is suitable for use in cooling solutions.
After the Arctic P12 PWM PST fan review, I thought to look at a larger fan from Arctic, the P14 PWM PST CO. Instead of a fluid dynamic (or a rifle) bearing, this fan uses double ball bearings, which are much more tolerant to increased operating temperatures, but more noisy.
The fan’s speed is PWM controlled from 200 to 1700 RPM, according to Arctic, and there is also a zero RPM mode activated with <5% PWM signals. The maximum claimed performance is 72.8 CFM for airflow and 2.4 mmH2O for static pressure. Both values are high enough, and I am anxious to check them against what the Longwin fan testing machine will tell.
