Epilogue
The Arctic P12 Slim PWM PST is a weird case (fan), at least for me. This is the only Slim fan, with only 15mm depth, that I have evaluated so far, so I didn’t have any similar products in my database to compare it with, so naturally, the final results don’t look good. Slim fans are for chassis with minimal internal space, whereas the regular thickness fans (25mm) are a no-go, so you must sacrifice performance and go with slim (15mm) fans. The fan’s performance is close enough to the performance data that Arctic claims, so you do know what you are getting if you decide to buy it. At 24 dollars for the 3-pack, the price per fan is only $7, making it a decent deal for its specifications.
Let’s now look at 25 dBA noise normalized performance. I chose 25 dBA because it is low enough not to annoy most users and high enough to allow for speeds that offer decent airflow and static pressure performance.
Both airflow and static pressure allow 25 dBA, but you should keep in mind that this fan is the slimmest among all the ones I included in the graphs. I didn’t have another 15mm thick fan to compare it with, so I had to use standard-thickness fans (25mm).
