The Ocypus Iota A62 is a dual-tower CPU cooler, featuring a matrix digital display at its top side. Despite the good build quality, the digital display and the FDB fans, still its price is notably lower than that of other branded coolers.
Ocypus is a new company founded in Shenzhen, China, in 2023. Its headquarters are in Beijing, and the company also has a branch office in Huizhou. According to its statements, Ocypus focuses on research and development and producing innovative computer hardware, trying to blend technology with nice aesthetics.
Their product portfolio includes cooling solutions, chassis, power supplies, and accessories. We first met them at Computex 2024, and a while ago, they sent us some samples for evaluation, including the Iota A62 cooler.
The Iota 62 comes in black and white, and its main feature, besides the dual tower design, is the matrix digital display on its top. Okay, this is more of a gimmick than a practical feature since you need two things to use this display: a chassis with a side window panel (easy) and, ideally, the chassis on top of your desk so you can easily check the display (challenging).
Besides the digital display, the cooler has two fans, which use anti-vibration pads and FDB bearings for lower noise. According to Ocypus, this cooler can handle up to 260W thermal loads.
