Corsair A115 Air Cooler Review – Done Right This time!

The Corsair A115 offers high performance and low noise output, but how does it stand against other high-end coolers in this category, including the Noctua NH-D15, the DeepCool Assassin IV, and the Cooler Master MasterAir MA824? Read the review to find out! 

After the mediocre A500, Corsair decided to try again to enter the air cooler market with the A115. According to my measurements, the latter is a high-end cooler, able to cope with more than 350W real CPU power. Not many air coolers can handle a 13900K processor with its PL1 and PL2 set at 250W, which, in reality, pushes the CPU’s power consumption to above 350W levels. The fans that remove the heat from the heatsink and its heatpipes are two Corsair AF140 Elite, controlled through PWM pulses, having enough airflow but not so high static pressure. Besides good performance, it is essential to keep the noise output as low as possible to please demanding users who dislike noisy IT parts. During my noise measurements, I will check whether the A115 offers silent operation, or needs high fan speeds, thus producing increased noise, to meet competition offerings from Noctua, Cooler Master, and DeepCool.

Corsair studied the subject a lot this time and didn’t rush out to deliver something inferior to the current competition. This is something, of course, that I will confirm through my testing results. Moreover, Corsair’s engineers also focused on making this cooler versatile enough to be compatible with various system configurations and RAM modules. Thanks to the HoldFast 2.0 retention system, all popular CPU sockets are supported, including Intel’s LGA-1700 and AMD’s AM5. Moreover, the fan rail allows you to adjust the fan position easily according to your system’s requirements.
