Windows 11 release was a quite massive hit and for a Microsoft OS the transition from Windows 10 was almost flawless. Almost. There are some bugs that still require resolution. But in general, it is a steady OS that runs well on Systems which are supported officially, at least. Of course, there are ways to install it on unsupported devices, but that might be a future article’s subject. You can choose to install it either by upgrading, if you are already a Windows 10 user, or by Clean Install option.
In case you wish to try the second option, there is a caveat. For some users, at least. Microsoft will require from you to create a Microsoft Account. And that can’t be bypassed easilly. But still, can be. If you are a user who is looking a workaround to this limitation the article is written for you. You may choose to create or sign in with an MS Account. It offers additional features that might be necessary for you. For the rest of us, is quite unnecessary and raises privacy and security concerns. Either way, in this article will learn how to easily bypass MS Account requirement on Windows 11 Clean install.
The method
You perform all Windows 11 installation steps, untill you come across “Let’s Connect You To A Network” section.
Then it’s time for action. All you have to do is press together immediately “Shift” and “F10” on your keyboard.
This will bring up the Command Prompt window.
Then, you paste the following command:
taskkill /F /IM oobenetworkconnectionflow.exe
From now on, you may continue with a Local Account creation which most of us still prefer. Keep in mind that this would cost you some extra features like OneDrive synching, etc. Moreover, it is said that in future versions this trick may not work. Untill now, this is by far the easiest way to bypass Microsoft’s limitation. If you want to, of course.
But what is your opinion? Do you use a Microsoft Account or you prefer a Local Account, instead? Do you believe that some of us are extra precautious and we should trust Microsoft, more? Any other way that you know and you would like to tell us about?
