The PSU’s average noise output is among the lowest in the 850W category.

Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C – 115V

The fan’s close-to-400-RPM operation lasts for a long time when the combined load on the minor rails remains below 85W. With more than 675W at 12V, the noise exceeds 20 dBA, then drops below that to 15-20 dBA before rising again at around 785W @ 12V, above 20 dBA. All in all, the fan speed profile is highly relaxed.

Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C – 230V

Strangely enough, at 230V, the fan speed profile is slightly more aggressive, with a more extended 20-25 dBA operating period at high loads. Nevertheless, the difference in the average noise output is below 1 dBA.
