Efficiency Normal, Light & Super-Light Loads
Efficiency is high at normal loads. Do not let the last place in the charts above fool you. I didn’t have a similar-spec and price SFX unit to use for comparison, so I used the ones I had that belong to higher categories. Efficiency is also high at light loads; at 2% load, it doesn’t reach 70%. Nonetheless, it meets the 60% requirements.
Average Efficiency
The platform’s average efficiency is high enough for a Platinum level at 115V, while at 230V, the unit is classified as Gold in the Cybenetics scheme. It loses the Cybenetics Platinum rating at 230V because of the low PF and the increased standby power.
Average PF
The APFC converter needs tuning for higher performance, especially at 230V.
Average Efficiency 5VSB
The 5VSB rail is not that efficient. I didn’t expect more, though, from a budget-oriented platform.
Vampire Power
Vampire power is high.
Great review, definitely worried about its inrush current, which seemed really high. I also found TR-TPFX-650 (Platinum), would you be able to do a review on it? I mean it claims to use better material, but barely any review out there.

Thanks
Only if TR sends me a sample. I cannot find them here in Cyprus.
Can you do a review of the Thermalright TP-1000/1200? There’s a frustratingly low amount of information about it. Thanks in advance.
If I manage to find them sure.
