Sharkoon Rebel P20 850W ATX v3.1 PSU Review

Box & Bundle

All Rebel P20 samples arrived in a plain white box and not the standard retail package, so here is a photo of one of my cats instead of the box, Tom, while relaxing on the couch. He had a tiresome day!

The PSU’s dimensions are compact, affecting internal airflow because the PCB’s parts are closer. Still, the fan speed profile is relaxed, keeping the noise output low. Moreover, the fan grille is not restricted, boosting the fan’s airflow.

The modular panel around the back hosts ten sockets, including a native 12V-2×6.

Cables

Modular Cables
Description Cable Count Connector Count (Total) Gauge In Cable Capacitors
ATX connector 20+4 pin (600mm) 1 1 18AWG No
4+4 pin EPS12V (700mm) 2 2 18AWG No
6+2 pin PCIe (550mm+150mm) 2 4 18AWG No
12+4 pin PCIe (600mm) (600W) 1 1 16-26AWG No
SATA (500mm+150mm+150mm) 1 3 18AWG No
SATA (500mm+150mm+150mm+150mm) 2 8 18AWG No
4-pin Molex Adapter (+150mm) 1 1 18AWG No
AC Power Cord (1380mm) – C13 coupler 1 1 18AWG

The ATX cable is long enough, at 600m. The EPS cables are also long, at 700mm, and all PCIe cables are shorter, at 550mm. The number of SATA connectors is adequate, but I cannot say the same for the 4-pin Molex connectors since only one is provided, and this is through an adaptor. Modern systems don’t widely use this connector (4-pin Molex), but Sharkoon should still provide at least two.

All cables are flat and painted black to be stealthy.
