Since this is a relatively low-capacity unit, its 12V OCP triggering points are sky-high to cope with high transient loads. The same goes for the over power protection. The problem is that the 12V OCP cold and hot triggering points are not that far away from each other. Thankfully this is not the case for the respective over power protection triggering points.
The minor rails have high OCP triggering points; to make matters worse, they do not drop at high operating temperatures. Someone must inform all manufacturers that there is no need for such high power levels on the 3.3V rail!
