Seasonic Vertex PX-1200 ATX v3.0 PSU Review

Average Noise

The PSU’s average noise output is low. This is one of the quietest 1200W units.

Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C – 115V

The fan’s passive operation doesn’t last long if you push the minor rails above 85W. Nonetheless, the fan spins at low speeds at up to 915W, so its noise doesn’t exceed 25 dBA. The 30 dBA mark is passed at around 1040W load at 12V.

At 230V, the fan speed profile is identical to the 115V, with the only difference being that the 25-30 dBA operating range lasts shorter, with the 30-35 dBA noise range lasting a bit longer. This is why the average noise output slightly increases at 230V.
