PCCooler YS1200 ATX v3.1 PSU Review

Box & Bundle

The box features a photo of the PSU on its face, along with three badges indicating the efficiency and noise certification levels it has achieved. Internally, the accessories are neatly arranged, and the provided protection is adequate. A pouch is also provided to store the modular cables. It will come in handy to keep the unused cables. The PSU is also shipped in a cloth bag.

Product Photos

The exterior design stands out from the crowd thanks to the triangular perforations in the fan grille. On the front side, for the PSU’s exhaust, the same triangle-style perforations are used. On the same side, besides the AC receptacle and the power switch, you will also find a smaller switch for toggling the fan’s passive operation on or off.

The modular panel has 13x sockets, including a native 12V-2×6 header.

Modular Cables
Description Cable Count Connector Count (Total) Gauge In Cable Capacitors
ATX connector 20+4 pin (610mm) 1 1 16-18AWG No
4+4 pin EPS12V (710mm) 2 2 16AWG No
6+2 pin PCIe (760mm) 2 2 16-18AWG No
12+4 pin PCIe (700mm) (600W) 1 1 16-28AWG No
SATA (410mm+155mm) 1 2 18AWG No
SATA (500mm+155mm+155mm+155mm) 2 8 18AWG No
4-pin Molex (450mm+125mm+125mm) 1 3 18AWG No

The cables are long enough, and the high-power cables use thicker, 16AWG, for lower voltage drops at high loads. The number of peripheral connectors is sufficient. The SATA connectors have adequate spacing, but there is less spacing between the 4-pin Molex connectors.
