Average Noise

The PSU’s average noise output is low, dropping below 20 dBA at 230V, where the platform is more efficient.

The fan’s stop feature lasts till around 330W at 12V, and is notably affected by the load on the minor rails. The higher the load at 5V and 3.3V, the less the fan stop feature lasts. At up to 480W, the PSU’s noise remains below 20 dBA, while the 30 dBA mark is passed at 700W. All in all, there are enough fan noise “steps” and the fan speed profile is relatively loose at light and mid loads.

At 230V, the fan stop feature lasts a bit less than at 115V, but the below 20 dBA noise region is increased, while the 30 dBA mark is passed at a higher load level than at 115V (730W vs 700W).
