Average Noise
The PSU’s average noise output is low, not exceeding 25 dBA under both voltage inputs I tried (115V and 230V).
Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C – 115V
The fan’s stop feature lasts till around 375W at 12V, and is affected by the load on the minor rails. The higher the load at 5V and 3.3V, the less the fan stop feature lasts. There is a region where the fan’s noise is within 20-25 dBA before it drops below 20 dBA. This region can be annoying to some users. The 30 dBA mark is passed at 860W, and there is also a region, above 1100W load, where the fan’s noise exceeds 35 dBA.
Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C – 230V
At 230V, the fan speed profile is identical to that of the 115V input, with the only significant difference being a slightly larger period of high noise at loads above 1080W.
