The PSU’s semi-passive mode doesn’t last long. Noise stays below 25 dBA at up to 600W at 12V, and the 30 dBA mark is passed at around 690W on the same rail. Lastly, the PSU enters the 35-40 dBA zone at 730W and higher loads.

At 230V input, the fan’s passive operation lasts longer, but the fan speed profile above 600W is identical to the one at 115V.
