[115V] There is no semi-passive operation, but this is not a problem if the fan spins at low speeds under light loads. The fan remains quiet in this unit at up to 180W at 12V. With more power at 12V and up to 310W, the fan’s noise is within 20-25 dBA. The 30 dBA mark is passed at 390W (12V), while with more than 540W on this rail, the noise goes over 35 dBA; with more than 630W, it is in the 40-45 dBA range.
