Deepcool PQ1200G ATX v3.1 PSU Review

Average Noise

The average noise output is higher than 30 dBA, but compared to most 1200W offerings, the PSU performs relatively well in this section.

Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C

[115V] There is no semi-passive operation, but I don’t mind at all about that since, in the majority of cases, this type of operation messes up the fan speed profile. in this unit, the fan remains quiet at up to 55W at 12V, but if you apply load to the minor rails, the silent operation gets prolonged. With more power at 12V and up to 320W, the fan’s noise is within 20-25 dBA. The 30 dBA mark is passed at 600W (12V), while with more than 780W on this rail, the noise goes over 35 dBA. Lastly, there are two very small spots on the PSU’s operational map, where noise exceeds 40 dBA.
