Deepcool PL750D: ATX v3.1 PSU at €69!

Transient Response

20% Load – 20ms

Voltage Before After Change Pass/Fail
12V 12.028V 11.843V 1.54% Pass
5V 5.088V 4.870V 4.28% Pass
3.3V 3.326V 3.105V 6.63% Fail
5VSB 4.996V 4.890V 2.13% Pass

50% Load -20ms

Voltage Before After Change Pass/Fail
12V 12.006V 11.824V 1.52% Pass
5V 5.081V 4.865V 4.24% Pass
3.3V 3.312V 3.081V 6.97% Fail
5VSB 4.958V 4.860V 1.98% Pass

The transient response is mediocre overall. Given the outdated design, I didn’t expect better results. That said, Helly should improve the 3.3V rail’s response.

Transient Response ATX v3.1 Tests

The PSU passes all ATX v3.1 transient response tests. Contrary to the 800W model, the 750W unit keeps the 3.3V rail above 3.2V.

The 12V rail’s level drops low in the 200% transient load test but still outperforms four PSUs with more modern platforms.
