Corsair RM1000e ATX v3.1 PSU Review

Average Noise

The PSU’s average noise output is low enough at both voltage inputs.

Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C – 115V

The semi-passive mode lasts at up about 35.0W at 12V, with moderate to high loads on the minor rails. What matters the most is that the PSU’s noise output remains below 20 dBA at up to 570W loads. The 30 dBA mark is passed with >760W loads and there is a small region where the fan’s noise exceeds 40 dBA, with the PSU operating at or close to its full load.

Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C – 230V

The 230V fan noise profile is a little looser, mostly at lower loads, so the average noise output isn’t significantly affected. The 10-20 dBA region at loads below 550W is much smaller at 230V.

  1. Hi! I am tempted to buy the Asus Rog Strix 1200w ATX 3.1, but after reading your review I got a bit discouraged, I’m between the asus, the nzxt c1200 and the corsair RM1000x, which do you think is best for something like the RTX 5090? Thank you!
