Asus ROG Loki SFX-L 850W PSU Review

Average Noise

The average noise is not high, but not as low as the official Cybenetics rating. I either got a lemon sample, or the specs changed in the newer models. Asus should examine this.

The semi-passive mode lasts long enough if you don’t push the minor rails. Even if you push them to the limit, noise output doesn’t get affected notably. With up to 500W loads, noise remains below 30 dBA, a notable feat for an SFX-L unit. With more than 620W, the 35 dBA mark is passed, and with more than 730W, the PSU enters the 40-45 dBA zone.

  1. The amount of pci-e x8 is misleading in my mind. One cable is splitted in to two PCIe connections. which is not recommended in general. so you have only two PCIe x8 connections, within safety specifications.
