Its wide compatibility stems from USB4 + Thunderbolt certification, ensuring it works today and tomorrow. Even if you downgrade to a USB 3.2 port, it will still function, albeit at reduced speeds.
One limitation: the included 32.5 cm USB4 cable is great for laptops, but desktop users may need to buy a longer certified cable.
