The hardware is excellent, but TerraMaster also adds real software value, something most enclosure makers skip entirely.
- The TDAS Mobile App (iOS/Android) allows you to offload media from your smartphone quickly. Ideal for photographers or journalists on the move.
- TPC Backupper (Windows) is a full-fledged backup suite with scheduled, incremental, and differential backups, plus restore and recovery tools.
Mac users won’t find bundled apps, but the D1 plays nicely with Time Machine and can be configured as a macOS boot disk. During testing, the D1 booted a fresh macOS install flawlessly, something many enclosures struggle with.
