At CES 2026, LG Electronics (LG) announced its latest OLED TV lineup, led by the OLED evo W6, a new generation of its Wallpaper TV series. The model revives LG’s ultra-thin wall-mounted design, first introduced in 2017, and combines it with True Wireless connectivity and a newly developed display technology called Hyper Radiant Color Technology.
The OLED evo W6 features a nine-millimeter-class thin body, achieved through redesigned internal architecture and component miniaturization. An updated wall-mount system allows the display to sit flush against the wall. All external connections are handled through LG’s Zero Connect Box, which can be placed up to 10 meters away and transmits video and audio wirelessly to the screen.
According to LG, the wireless system delivers visually lossless 4K video and audio, enabling the TV’s thin form factor while maintaining full image quality. The OLED evo W6 is described as the thinnest True Wireless OLED TV currently available.
Display Technology and Image Processing
The 2026 OLED evo lineup introduces Hyper Radiant Color Technology, designed to improve brightness, color reproduction, black levels, and reflection control. Combined with LG’s Brightness Booster Ultra, the OLED evo W6 reaches peak brightness levels up to 3.9 times higher than conventional OLED displays, based on internal measurements.
The screen is engineered to reduce surface reflections and has received Reflection Free Premium certification from Intertek. LG states that the display maintains verified black levels and color accuracy even in brightly lit environments.
Image processing is handled by the new α11 AI Processor Gen3, which includes a neural processing unit (NPU) reported to be 5.6 times more powerful than the previous generation. The processor uses a Dual AI Engine that applies parallel noise reduction and texture preservation to maintain detail without excessive sharpening.
Software, Personalization, and Security
The OLED evo W6 runs LG’s webOS platform, featuring user recognition through Voice ID. The system identifies the speaker and automatically loads personalized profiles, including apps and content recommendations.
LG has also integrated multiple AI services, including Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, enabling voice-based queries and contextual assistance. Additional features include AI Concierge recommendations and an “In This Scene” function that provides information about on-screen actors and related content. Data protection and personalization security are handled by LG Shield, which received a CES 2026 Innovation Award.
Gaming and Performance Features
The OLED evo W6 and most 2026 OLED evo models support up to a 4K 165Hz refresh rate, along with NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium. The displays offer a 0.1 ms pixel response time and support Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for gaming applications.
Availability
The OLED evo W6 is part of LG’s broader 2026 OLED evo lineup, which includes multiple screen sizes and configurations. Visitors to CES 2026 can view the new models at LG Electronics’ booth (#15004) at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 6–9.
