Origin Code is set to showcase its flagship VORTEX DDR5 memory series at CES 2026, introducing what it claims is the world’s first DDR5 module with a detachable triple-fan active cooling system.
Designed for enthusiasts and professional users, VORTEX focuses on sustained performance rather than short-lived benchmark peaks. Origin Code says the new memory is built to maintain high frequencies and tight timings during extended gaming, content creation, and AI workloads.
The standout feature is a modular active cooling unit equipped with three 40mm dual-ball-bearing fans, delivering up to 22.5 CFM of airflow with PWM control from 800 to 8,000 RPM. Paired with Origin Code’s patented ScaleCut™ aluminum heatsink, the company claims up to 39.8% better heat dissipation compared to traditional passive designs.
Importantly, the fan module is optional. All VORTEX kits are rated to operate at their advertised EXPO speeds without active cooling, allowing builders to choose between silence or maximum overclocking headroom.
VORTEX DDR5 will launch in a wide range of configurations, including:
- 6200 MT/s CL26 (32GB)
- 6000 MT/s CL26 / 8000 MT/s CL36 dual-profile kits
- High-capacity options up to 256GB
The memory is optimized for AMD platforms using EXPO profiles and has been validated on motherboards from ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte.
Visitors can see VORTEX DDR5 in action at The Venetian Expo, Level 1, Suite Galileo 1004, from January 6 to 9, where Origin Code will run live demos showcasing sustained overclocking and thermal performance.
