AMD’s entire CES 2025 lineup has leaked, revealing some interesting products.
The leak came from ‘zhangzhonghao’ and occurred in a Chinese forum belonging to the Chiphell IT site. The leak informs that AMD will reveal laptop and desktop CPUs, desktop GPUs, handheld gaming chips, and other interesting products. AMD’s chief executive, Dr Lisa Su, previously confirmed that RDNA 4 GPUs will launch in early 2025 (as revealed to PCWorld), which adds some validity to this new leak. Below is the list with everything that the leaker claims AMD will show at next year’s CES:
- RDNA 4 (desktop GPUs)
- Ryzen 9950X3D/9900X3D (desktop CPUs)
- Ryzen AI Kraken Point (laptop APUs)
- Ryzen AI Max 300/Strix Halo (laptop APUs)
- Ryzen HX Fire Range/X3D (laptop APUs)
- Ryzen Z2/Z2G/Z2 Extreme (handheld APUs)
The RDNA 4 GPUs will be revealed along NVIDIA’s RTX 5000 series, but they won’t aim to compete at the high-end level (RTX 5090/5080) because AMD is shifting its focus to the mid and budget range. AMD doesn’t have the resources to compete with NVIDIA in this field, which dominates the respective market. Hopefully, AMD will further improve the RT performance of its GPUs.
The 9950/9900X3D processors will be great news for gamers who also need a strong performance in other applications that require many cores (e.g., rendering and transcoding). With the 9800X3D around the corner, it is great to know that its big brothers won’t arrive late to the party. There are claims that the 9950X3D will have 208MB of L3 cache, while the 9900X3D will use 204MB L3 cache. If this information is accurate, there will be a vast difference in the L3 cache with the 9800X3D, which has 104MB in total.
