Lexar Enterprise DDR5 RDIMMs Certified for AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000WX

Lexar Enterprise has announced that its BG series enterprise-grade DDR5 RDIMMs have successfully passed AMD’s compatibility testing for the new Ryzen Threadripper 9000-Series processors, including the Threadripper PRO 9000WX Series. The modules have been designated as the official memory configuration for workstation systems using these processors.

Built on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture, the Threadripper PRO 9000WX Series supports up to 96 cores and 192 threads, with native 8-channel DDR5-6400 ECC memory delivering theoretical bandwidth exceeding 410GB/s, a 37% improvement over DDR5-5200 platforms. Lexar Enterprise’s DDR5 RDIMMs are available in 2R×4 and 2R×8 configurations, with capacities from 32GB to 128GB and data rates up to 6400Mbps (also supporting 5600Mbps), designed to meet the demands of multi-core computing in applications such as 3D rendering, 8K video processing, and AI model training.

The modules have undergone AMD’s rigorous validation process, including high-temperature stress tests, hot-swapping, sustained load assessments, and cross-platform checks. They meet JEDEC standards and feature ECC technology for data integrity in mission-critical workloads.

Representatives from both companies highlighted the benefits of the collaboration. AMD’s Kainan Li noted the alignment between the high-speed ECC-supported RDIMMs and the Zen 5 architecture. At the same time, Lexar Enterprise’s Todd Levy emphasized the performance gains in professional applications, from content creation to engineering simulation.

Lexar Enterprise and AMD plan to continue collaborating on enterprise-class memory advancements to support the evolving needs of high-end desktop and AI-focused workstation users.
