At its CES 2026 exhibit, KIOXIA presented a range of flash memory and SSD solutions, including the newly announced BG7 Series client SSD, designed for PC OEMs.
Key Highlights
- BG7 Series SSD: The drive is the first client SSD to feature KIOXIA’s 8th-generation BiCS FLASH 3D memory with CBA (CMOS directly Bonded to Array) technology. It offers:
- Sequential read speeds up to 7,000 MB/s
- Random read/write up to 1,000,000 IOPS
- Approximately 10–16% higher performance than the previous BG6 Series
- Around 67% better power efficiency in sequential writes
- Available in 2230, 2242, and 2280 form factors, capacities from 256GB to 2TB
- DRAMless design using Host Memory Buffer (HMB)
- Broad Portfolio Display: KIOXIA also showcased:
- Scalable BiCS FLASH 3D memory solutions
- SSDs and software optimized for AI workloads
