Computex 2024 – The Highlights!

Pro Gamersware Party at Hooters!

Our good friends from PGW invited us to their party at Hooters, where we had lots of fun. We went there with our friend Daltrey—the guy with the glasses in the photo above!

technikPR Party

technikPR is one of the best PR agencies we have the chance to cooperate with, and their party at Computex is typically the show’s event! We always do some crazy stuff there; this year’s part wasn’t an exception!

Greek Gyros in Taiwan!

Outside our hotel, there are usually food tracks, and we were blown away when we found the only Greek food available in Taiwan! It was a food truck operated by two young people who visited Greece and loved the Greek gyros, so they brought them to Taipei!

Hana Teppanyaki Dinner

One of the best places to eat in Taiwan. We went there with Super Flower’s team and had a great time! We have developed deep friendships with many people in the industry over the years, so it is nice to meet them occasionally and have some fun!

Yangming Spring Vegan Restaurant

It is a fantastic Japanese restaurant with an exclusively vegan kitchen. It is included in Michelin’s catalog. We visited it with our FSP friends and had a wonderful time!

Dragon Boat Festival

You can find more details about the Dragon Boat Festival on this site. In short, it is a major Chinese festival celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. Its origin was to commemorate the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. Boat races take place, and we went there to watch Garmin’s team performance since the boyfriend of one of our close friends works at this company. After so many years of visiting Taiwan, this was the first time we had the chance to watch boat races, and it was fun!

Epilogue

It was another great Computex experience. From a tech perspective, it wasn’t among the top shows we attended in last years, but it is always nice to meet fellow reviewers, editors, and industry colleagues. I should also thank the Asus, CWT, and XPG  teams for meeting with us outside of their work hours, along with my friend Daltrey from Great Wall. Unfortunately, I either didn’t shoot any photos to share with you guys, or I don’t want to share the ones I took! In any case, it was great to visit Taipei for another time and meet all these interesting people! Until AI conquers every aspect of our lives, you should keep in mind that people matter the most in the industry (and not only).
