Apple holds events at specific intervals each year where it announces new products. The company tends to have a spring event in March or April, the WWDC keynote in June, an event to celebrate the new iPhone launch in September, and a late fall event in October, at which it has been known to release new iPads and Macs. The company has even held an event as late as November 10 (in 2020, when it unveiled the first batch of M1 Macs).
Apple introduced the new iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10, and AirPods 4 at an event on September 12. More new products seem to be coming, and we could see new Macs and iPads at an Apple event in October 2024.
iPad Pro with M4 Chip
While the iPad mini and standard iPad updates are anticipated, Apple may also introduce an updated iPad Pro with the new M4 chip. Given Apple’s trend of using its Mac chips in iPads, an M4-powered iPad Pro could deliver significant performance boosts, especially for creative professionals.
MacBook Air with M4
Apple may choose this event to refresh the MacBook Air lineup with M4 chips, as it has been a popular model among students and professionals. An update could focus on better battery efficiency and enhanced performance while maintaining its lightweight design.
Surprises and Accessories
Apple sometimes sneaks in surprises at its October events, like new AirPods Pro updates, refreshed HomePods, or even software-based innovations like enhanced features for Apple Vision Pro.
Apple Vision Pro Release Date
Since the Apple Vision Pro was announced earlier this year, many expect more information on its release date, pricing, and expanded regional availability at this event. It could be an opportunity for Apple to showcase more apps or new features for its upcoming AR headset.
Apple’s AI Push
Apple has gradually emphasized its artificial intelligence capabilities, especially its latest A-series chips. I want to discuss how AI-powered enhancements could appear in new Macs or iPads, improving everything from battery life management to camera performance.
We have yet to determine if Apple will hold an October event in 2024, so we expect further announcements.
