Clock Speeds
The charts below show the average GPU clock speeds in various usage scenarios.
Overclocking
I dialed up to the maximum possible for the GPU’s boost clock, and 34000 MHz (+3000 MT/s) for the VRAM, which cannot get any higher because the driver limits it. Setting any higher value than the allowed, will result in a maximum frequency of +375 being applied.
GPU & RAM Clocks
Operating Temperatures
There is no temperature difference between stock and oc speeds, because the power consumption difference is low and the cooling system can easily handle the GPU’s maximum thermal load.
Power Consumption
The power consumption difference is at 33W on average and 40W at peak.
Overclock Gain
A close to 7% performance gain through overclocking is good. You can easily push this card to exceed 10%, at least in synthetic benchmarks. But note the power consumption will further increase, so you have to have a good and strong PSU installed!

Thanks for your detailed review. I bought a similar Galax card called the Blade OC in China. Despite putting it to the same settings as you in GPU tweak (and the GPU clock dial even going slightly higher to 2997) I’m finding that the max core clock I can get in TimeSpy Extreme GT1 is just under 3000MHz. Do you think this is just silicon lottery because my card seems to be about 3-5% behind every review of the Galax One click OC I can find (can’t read Chinese reviews of the local Blade OC version)?
Hi! OC is pure silicon lottery I am afraid.
OK. Cheers.
