Galax GeForce RTX 4060 Ti EX White Performance, Power Analysis & Noise Output

Epilogue

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB doesn’t offer a notable performance increase from its predecessor, the RTX 3060 Ti, which, combined with the high MSRP of $400, won’t help this model to conquer the market. According to leaks, there will be a 16 GB version of the RTX 4060 Ti, which will cost $100 more, and the plain RTX 4060 is around the corner, costing $100 less.

The new AD106 GPU, built at 5nm, supports all features of the Ada architecture, including the DLSS 3 Frame Generation that provides a huge performance boost, as I noticed in the games I enabled. Moreover, the Galax GeForce RTX 4060 Ti EX White comes overclocked from the factory with 105MHz higher boost clocks. There is room for more overclock, especially in VRAM, and the total gain I achieved is 11.33%, which is high enough. Moreover, the AD106 proved way more efficient than the Navi 33 XL that the AMD RX 7600 uses since it consumes less energy while offering higher performance.

The RTX 4060 Ti aims primarily at HD resolutions, achieving higher performance than AMD’s equivalent HD model, the RX 7600, which costs almost 130 dollars less. The difference is even higher with Ray Tracing enabled, where the RTX 4060 Ti gets close to stronger AMD models, like the RX 6800 XT. The 8GB VRAM might be a problem for some, but you should consider that you won’t need more RAM in most of today’s titles for HD gaming.
