Hello, i'm finalizing a 5090 suprim aoc build, i was initially gonna buy a nzxt 1200c psu but apparently that brand did something heinous and my retailer doens't wanna buy it lol.
So i've been offered Thermaltake gf3 1200w, enermax revolution dfx 1200w, be quiet! pure power 12m 1200w atx3.1, rajintek ampere 1200w bl, rajintek cratos 1200w.
Idk about the rajinteks but he has them in stock, though when i checked they do 45+ db at 900+ watts (which i will probably reach with 4k 240hz monitor), the others also do around that 40db aside from the cratos at 25-30 i believe? The be quiet is 3.1 but seems loud af at 48db under load and is not even on cybernetics for some reason.
The suprim does around 30-36db under load, so i'd probably want a psu that doesn't do more than that?
Is the atx 3.1 and native 12v2x6 native port important?
Which would you choose and why? Is 45 db too much? How likely am i to reach 900w at 4k 240hz?
Thanks
The native 12V-2x6 is important, although 12VHPWR is not far away when it comes to the PSU's modular panel, or even better if the PSU has 2x 8pin instead.
Among these the GF3 1200W looks to be the best option.
@crmaris i see, any reason why? It's the second loudest on your tierlist, has 3.0 atx 12vhpwr port and has lower efficiency from what i can tell, but i do like that it's cultist A tier. So what makes it better? Been on a wild ride with this and motherboards 🤣
It is a solid platform. But yeah, noise-wise isn't the best option.
