3 days ago , Der8auer published his video (JayzTwoCents also published his own video today) about a potential serious design-flaw on the reference cooler for AMD's new RX7900XTX reference models ,leading many of those cards to overheat and then throttle.
According to the initial signs ,it seems a very wide-spread problem and to me this seems as pure irony since AMD had made some ironic "hints" towards nVIDIA back then for their design-choices (as Der8auer mentioned the RTX4090 melting-cable issue was far less widespead compared to what AMD seems to be facing now ).

Yeah, it seems that basic QC Team had a take-off, when they "reviewed" it, back then. 🙂
I spoke to a German retailer and reported next to zero problems, so I am not sure of how huge is this problem or just another YT drama.
The main reason for making this post is because i think Aris has some plans to review AMD's new GPUs , so i made this comment in order for him to be aware of the problem in order to check it out himself.
--P.S. From what i've read in a comment in TPU ,AMD has released a statement on the matter ( Tom's Hardware : https://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-responds-to-rx-7900-xtx-hotspot-fiasco ) admitting that there is an issue.
Also , in the same TPU thread( https://www.techpowerup.com/302917/amd-radeon-rx-7900-xtx-may-feature-faulty-coolers-causing-overheating?cp=1#comments ) there is also a quick poll , which shows 29% of the voters saying that they have :
"""experienced any heat issues with your reference AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX """
Thank you! Will look at this although in my power, and temperature analysis tests, I didn't find any issues in my sample. This looks to be in some specific production batches and I believe that AMD will sort it out soon.
