HD Game tests
Using a potent GPU at low resolutions, I ensure there is no bottleneck in this section to easily check the CPU performance differences—all games run at HD resolution and the highest possible setting without RTX.
In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the performance difference is high, while it is enormous in Cyberpunk, exceeding 30 FPS in my tests! In The Last of Us, the 9800X3D remains at the top, with a high difference from the 7800X3D, but it loses some FPS in Rachet & Clank, so it doesn’t outperform the 7800X3D in this game. This is also the situation in Starfield, where the 9800X3D and 7800X3D deliver close enough average frames. Lastly, in Resident Evil 4, the 9800X3D is at the top of the corresponding chart. Overall, it has an even stronger gaming performance than the 7800X3D, but you won’t notice this on all game titles, which AMD also mentions.
