Tryx ROTA Pro 120mm Fan Review

Box, Contents & Bundle

The box offers decent protection. The product’s specifications are depicted on its back side. There, you will also find the specifications of the plain ROTA fan, in addition to those of the Pro model.

Opening the package.

The fan’s accessories include an extension PWM cable and fixing bolts.

The fan features nice blades, and its build quality appears to be good. Its fluid dynamic bearing offers lower noise output than double-ball bearing ones, and it is also reliable as long as you don’t operate the fan at high temperatures (>40 °C). There is no RGB lighting, which can be a deal breaker for some users. At the fan’s corners, there are elastic pads that reduce vibrations, thereby decreasing noise output.

The fan comes with a pigtail cable, which is not ideal for daisy-chaining multiple fans.

Daisy-chaining these fans is easy, but it won’t look nice. The pigtail idea is no longer ideal; there are more sophisticated alternatives. On another note, the anti-vibration rubber pads on the fan’s corners filter out vibrations, effectively lowering noise output.
