PCCooler RZ820 Display CPU Cooler Review

Installation

General observations.

  • This is an enormous cooler with increased height. Check before you buy it whether your chassis can accommodate it.
  • The top display cover/display and the middle fan must be removed prior to installation.
  • For AM4 and AM5 platforms, the stock motherboard mounting brackets must be removed.
  • The installation process was simple and direct, with easy alignment and clear tactile feedback from the spring-loaded screws indicating correct mounting pressure and full engagement of the retention mechanism.
  • Any possible RAM clearance issues can be easily addressed thanks to the front-adjustable, in-height fan.
  • Middle fan installation and removal were straightforward, requiring no excessive force or additional tools.
  • Cable routing was simple, and the provided Y-cable allows both fans to be connected to a single CPU fan header.
  • Thermal paste is included in the package, and the base comes with pre-applied thermal paste.

The cooler installed on our Intel test system.
