FSP MP7 ARGB Review. Budget Price & High Performance!

Installation

I installed the cooler only on our AMD test system because I lack the time to conduct tests on the Intel system, too. Most people prefer AMD CPUs nowadays, especially for gaming, and the day only has 24 hours, so I have to prioritize some stuff in my reviews, to be able to deliver them in time. Anyway, the installation on an AMD mainboard is straightforward. You have to remove the original stock brackets, install the red plastic standoffs and then place the AMD brackets on top of them and secure them with the black screws. Apply thermal paste to the CPU’s heatspreader, remove the plastic protective cover from the heatsink’s block and install it on the socket. Then use the provided screwdriver to tighten the block’s spring screws, through the fin’s holes. Thanks to these holes you don’t have to remove the center fan, which is a great advantage.
