Arctic sent me the 3-fan package. Don’t expect a fancy box. It’s just plain cardboard with a sticker showing the fan model and the basic specs.
The fan has seven blades to increase the surface that comes in contact with the air. The build quality is decent but not something extraordinary. After all, this is a budget-oriented product.
There are no rubber pads on the fan’s corners, which is a shame. Arctic thought that the weak motor wouldn’t create any notable vibrations, so there was no need for anti-vibration pads. On the product’s page, Arctic also states that thanks to its special magnetization, the motor of the P-fans generates no start-up jerks and only a fraction of the commutation vibrations of a conventional DC motor, so no anti-vibration pads are required. I still want to see them on the fan’s frame.
The fan uses a fluid dynamic bearing, ideal for desktop use where the operating temperatures don’t exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
