For users expecting the new NVIDIA RTX 5000 series to have lower power consumption requirements than the RTX 4000, it looks like they will be disappointed. After the 600W official TDP for the RTX 5090, a recent leak by Kopite7kimi claims that the RTX 5070 Ti will consume more than the RTX 4070 Ti, with its TDP reaching 300W, 15W higher than the 4070 Ti’s TDP. The rest of the RTX 5070 Ti features include 8,960 CUDA cores since it will use the same GB203 die as the RTX 5080 (this one has 10752 cores). While the RTX 4070 Ti and the RTX 4080 used different GPUs (AD104 and AD103, respectively), their successors have the same to lower the production cost. The 16% more CURA cores will bring a performance advantage over the RTX 4070 Ti, but this model also has a super variant. The RAM will likely be at 16GB with a 256-bit interface, while the RTX 5080 will have 24GB.
NVIDIA will introduce its Blackwell gaming graphics cards at CES 2025, which is one reason that the Hardware Busters will attend the show. As a reminder, AMD will also release its processors and graphics cards during CES 2025.
