Arctic is a significant force in cooling, especially CPU coolers and fans, and in today’s review, I will evaluate the P12 Slim, which has a restricted depth of 15mm instead of the typical 25mm. The 10mm reduction in the fan’s thickness makes it suitable for use in SFF cases where the internal space is restricted. Moreover, Arctic states that this fan is optimized for high static pressure, so it is ideal for cooling solutions where the fan’s airflow has to pass through obstacles (e.g., radiator fins) to remove the heat. With such low thickness, the motor has to be tiny, and on top of that, the area of the fan’s parts (the blades) that come in touch with the air is small. Both of these factors don’t help in delivering high static pressure.
The Arctic P12 Slim PWM PST does not have an airflow rating on the Cybenetics Phi scale but achieves a Bronze static pressure rating.
