Epilogue
I have to be honest. The core issue of the HP DeskJet 4220e is its inkjet nature and how the industry manipulates it. All the inkjets in this price range offer similar performance, advantages, and disadvantages. So, I can’t be too strict with this one. All the inkjets are a money pit, and I don’t know if I ever recommend one. Unfortunately, they are an option for home users, although they are far from perfect. The HP Smart app needs too much improvement, although at its core it is convenient.
So, if you know what you are buying, the HP DeskJet 4220e is a decent option, not because it is the best, but because you won’t find a better one. It won’t be given any HWBusters budge, but no inkjet will ever have as it seems. So, is it a ScamJet? Well, is there any budget InkJet that it is not?
Verdict: Nothing better or worse than the rest of the InkJet competition.
