SilverStone Triton 750Rx ATX v3.1 PSU Review

Average Noise

The fan speed profile is aggressive. Unlike the 850W model, the average noise at 230V is lower than the average noise at 115V.

There is no semi-passive mode, but the PSU’s lowest noise level is 15-20 dBA at up to 210W on 12V, which is notably lower compared to the 850W unit, which operates in the 20-25 dBA range. The 30 dBA mark is passed quickly, though, with more than 225W at 12V. At 295W at 12V, the fan’s noise goes over 35 dBA, and at 370W on the same rail, it exceeds 40 dBA. Finally, with more than 470W at 12V, the noise is within the 45-50 dBA range, which is pretty loud for a 750W PSU with Gold efficiency.

Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C – 230V

The 230V fan speed profile enables a more extended period of low noise output (15-20 dBA) at a power level of approximately 270W at 12V. The 30 dBA mark is passed at 280W at 12V, and with more than 475W at 12V, the fan’s noise enters the 45-50 dBA region.
