ADATA Marks 24 Years with Global Push for Sustainability

As it celebrates 24 years in the tech industry, ADATA Technology is shifting focus toward embedding sustainability into its global brand strategy. Under the anniversary theme “ADATA 24: Celebrating Sustainability Together,” the memory and storage manufacturer is rolling out a series of environmental initiatives aimed at mobilizing employees and customers to participate in climate-conscious actions.

From Corporate Goals to Everyday Habits

ADATA kicked off its anniversary with a company-wide Sustainability Pledge signed on Earth Day (April 22). Employees were encouraged to make personal commitments, ranging from reducing single-use plastics to adopting reusable items at work. According to company leadership, the campaign is intended to move environmental awareness beyond slogans and into daily operations.

Simon Chen, ADATA Chairman, described the initiative as a “cross-regional green marathon,” pointing to the company’s broader intent to foster sustainable practices across all departments and international offices.

Partnering for Reforestation and Education

In collaboration with Micron Taiwan and the Taiwan Reforestation Association, ADATA participated in a tree-planting event in Taichung. Volunteers from both companies planted new saplings while participating in ecological education workshops led by local conservation groups. The initiative combined physical action with knowledge-sharing on local ecosystems and wildlife habitats.

Digital Campaigns with a Green Twist

As part of its Global Brand Month, ADATA also launched the “Store Your Story” challenge—a campaign inviting users worldwide to submit nature-related memories that are then reimagined through AI-generated visuals. For every submission, ADATA will sponsor the planting of a tree via its partnership with ESG nonprofit One Tree Planted. The company estimates thousands of trees will be planted globally through this initiative.

In parallel, ADATA is hosting a series of limited-time promotions across global retailers featuring its latest memory modules, SSDs, and peripherals. While primarily a consumer outreach effort, the campaign echoes the anniversary’s central theme by encouraging sustainable purchasing choices and product longevity.

A Broader Corporate Trend

ADATA’s 24th anniversary comes amid a growing movement among tech manufacturers to integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values into their operational models. Rather than relying solely on public commitments, ADATA’s recent efforts emphasize internal engagement and cross-sector collaboration—an approach that reflects a shift from performative branding to practical action.
