AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Review: The Top Multi-Core Gaming CPU!

Productivity and Microsoft Office

I use the PCMark10 benchmark suite to evaluate all CPUs under several productivity tasks. I also use the Applications Benchmark, which uses all Microsoft Office apps.

In Applications it scores higher than the 9950x, but for some reason it loses in the overall benchmark. I ran it multiple times and every time I got similar results.

Web Browser Performance

Speedometer is a browser benchmark that measures the responsiveness of Web applications. It uses demo web applications to simulate user actions, such as adding to-do items.

For some reason the 7950X3D performed way better here. This is a strange benchmark, so I weight it lightly in the overall performance calculation.

Data Compression

I use two popular compression apps, WinRar and 7-zip. Both have embedded benchmarks, and I also compress a large file folder with WinRar.

Top performance in compression and decompression.
