Max Operating Temperature (Blender)
To check the operating temperatures, I run Blender instead of Prime95 and small FFTs, which apply an unrealistically high load to the CPU.
The max operating temperature in Blender is not that high for an AMD processor, at 81.4C. Still, I should note that I used a high-end Noctua air cooler in my test system, which is probably the highest-performance air cooling solution available today. That said, the new design of the L3 cache which is now under the CCD, allowing for their direct contact with the heatspreader, vastly improves thermals.

The power consumption difference in blender between the 9950X3D and the 7950X3D is vast, but thanks to the improved contact of the heatspreader with the CPU, the operating temperatures are close.
