Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM Fan Review

Advertised Vs. Real Performance

This is probably the most crucial page, showing how accurate is the data provided by the manufacturers/brands on their products. Since nobody so far could verify these numbers, it was an open field for every brand to declare whatever it wanted, but this stops now.

Advertised Vs. Real Performance:
  • Max Speed (RPM): 2000/ 2132
  • Max Input Current (A): 0.14 / 0.13
  • Max Power (W): 1.68 / 1.50
  • Qmax (CFM): 60.09/ 56.11
  • Qmax (CFM) with LNA: 49.7/ 46.85
  • Pmax (mmAq): 2.34 / 2.21
  • Pmax (mmAq) with LNA: 1.65 / 1.57
  • Max Noise Level (dBA): 22.6 / 31.9
  • Max Noise Level (dBA) with LNA: 18.8 / 24.4

The claimed airflow and static pressure values are close enough to what I measured. Most brands and manufacturers are over-optimistic in noise output or use a different noise measurement methodology, even though there are specific guidelines for taking noise measurements in information technology and telecommunications equipment (ISO7779: 2018).

  1. Please test silverstone’s shark force fans, their performance is ridiculously good for their size, thickness and rpm but reviews are limited and I cant find any noise to performance ratings like ur extensive testing covers. I have verified from 2 or 3 reviews that the max cfm and static pressure ratings are accurate tho, in terms of raw performance they are very good.

  2. Could you test Be Quiet Silent Wings PRO 4? Most review mentioned that it is better than NF-A12x25 and it is 25mm thick as well.
