Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM Fan Review

Box, Contents & Bundle

The product comes in a nice box that opens to show you the fan’s center badge and the PQ curves, which compare it with Noctua’s other fan models. The bundle is rich, including the following:

  • Low-Noise Adaptor (L.N.A.)
  • 4-pin y-cable
  • 30cm extension cable
  • NA-AV2 anti-vibration mounts
  • Anti-vibration gasket for water-cooling radiators
  • Fan screws

Some don’t like Noctua’s original colors. I don’t have a problem. I have to admit, though, that the chromax.black products look nicer. The cable is long enough at 200mm; an extension cable in the bundle adds another 300mm if not enough for you.

The fan’s frame utilizes Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation), integrating anti-vibration pads and Noctua’s proprietary Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures according to Noctua, further refining the fan’s performance/noise efficiency.

The fan’s blades have flow acceleration channels, suppressing vortex noise and increasing airflow efficiency by altering the flow distribution on the suction side of the blades and speeding up the airflow at the crucial outer blade regions.

  1. Please test silverstone’s shark force fans, their performance is ridiculously good for their size, thickness and rpm but reviews are limited and I cant find any noise to performance ratings like ur extensive testing covers. I have verified from 2 or 3 reviews that the max cfm and static pressure ratings are accurate tho, in terms of raw performance they are very good.

  2. Could you test Be Quiet Silent Wings PRO 4? Most review mentioned that it is better than NF-A12x25 and it is 25mm thick as well.
